Do YOU look out for NUMBER 1 ???

Do you think people have the right to look after themselves? Is it up to the person to choose, either them or their family or friends? I don't know about you, but i think it should be your primary basis to look out for yourself because you are not always with other people but you are constantly looking out for yourself because it is an instinct. If someone was to follow my philosophy they would probably live a very normal life and not end up lonely like Scrooge or anything like him. It could turn out very well if you are reasonable with the whole concept of looking out for yourself first.

I don't get why everyone likes Christmas. Today my nephew bothered me about coming over to his house tomorrow for christmas. Also the clerk asked me for the day off tomorrow, i told him that would be very unconvenient for me. Then i said aloud, " A poor excuse for picking a man's pocket every twenty-fifth of December!" But i suppose you must have the whole day i told him.I strongly dislike Christmas, infact i hate christmas! It is just means your another older and its another day to pay bills. Today has been yet another boring day... Bah humbug!

The Pearl symbolizes... Happiness, but at the same time it symbolizes greed, evil, hatred, and jealousy

Characteristics...

Kino represents strength... Because he is being very strong that the pearl will bring good fortune.

Jauna represents hope and thanks... she is very thankful for the pearl and she hopes it wont bring evil.

neighbors represent sympathy... they feel very happy for kino and juana because of their good fortune.

the doctor represents greed... he wont help the baby because they don't have much money at first, when they get money the doctor is willing to help them.

the townspeople represent jealousy... they are mad and think its unfair that they didnt find the pearl first.
